SERVICE SUPPLIED:  

Highlight Videos agrees to supply the following services:

  1. A ‘Filming Kit’ containing a minimum of:

    • 2 x  Action Camera with memory card (32GB)

    • 2 x Selfie Sticks

    • 4 x Batteries and 1 charger

    • 1 x hard case containing equipment 

  2. Footage will be edited into either:

    • 1 x highlight web friendly video (approximately 3-5 minutes) supplied on USB

    • Customised video lengths as mutually agreed between Highlight Videos and Customer

    • All raw footage

    • Packages which include editing include 2 round of edits. Additional edits will be charged at $50 per edit and will be invoiced once customer is happy with their final edit. 

TERMS OF PAYMENT:  To secure your booking we request an upfront payment of 50% payable by credit card or bank transfer to secure the Highlight Video service for the date specified.  This 50% deposit is refundable up to 6 weeks prior to your event.  From 6 weeks prior to your event this 50% deposit is non-refundable.  Bookings are confirmed by email within 2 business days following receipt of your deposit. We will contact you 4 weeks prior to your event where the remaining balance will be payable 14 days prior to shipping the Filming Kit. Payment is non-refundable 14 days prior to event. Payment in full is required before Filming Kit is sent.
 

RENTAL PERIOD: Our standard rental period is 1, 3, 5 or 7 days pending package option selected. The Highlight Videos team will arrange for delivery of the kit via our selected courier.  The customer will agree a time and address for delivery and collection prior to the event date. Highlight Videos cannot be held responsible for a delay in delivery if someone is unavailable to sign for equipment on the date agreed or at the address provided.  Failure to have someone available at the specified address on the day of collection will result in an additional day’s hire being payable to Highlight Videos. In the event that a package is not collected by the customer the package may be held at a local postal distribution centre. In this event it is at the customers expense and responsibility to arrange collection. 
The return of the Filming Kit will be via the customers local courier. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure the kit is taken to the local courier depot with the postage paid return address affixed to the Kit for postage. The customer agrees to package the equipment in the boxes provided by Highlight Videos and use the checklist provided to confirm all items have been inspected and packaged as agreed. In the event that your event should fall on a Saturday and return of the equipment is not possible on Sunday, the rental period will be extended until the next day. Any delays in returning the Kit, addiotnal to the agreed amount of days the customer will be charged $100 per day.

INSURANCE:  Our kits are fully insured with an excess of $350. In the unlikely event that Highlight Videos should have to make a claim, the customer is responsible for the $350 excess in full. The kits will be left in the care of the customer in good working condition and any damage, loss or theft of the equipment whilst in their care, will be charged to the customer up to a maximum of $350. In the case of loss, damage or theft of the equipment, the customer agrees to contact Highlight Videos immediately.  Highlight Videos cannot be held responsible for the resulting lack of footage. On the day of hire a $350 pre-authorisation will be processed to the credit card provided. This reserves the funds in the event that kits are lost, stolen or damaged. These funds are released immediately upon return of equipment.
 

CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY:  The customer agrees to examine the kit upon delivery to ensure that everything is in good working order. If there are any technical or operator issues at this point, the customer agrees to raise them with Highlight Videos immediately. The customer also agrees to return the equipment in the same condition as when it was received, ordinary wear and tear accepted. The customer is solely responsible for the equipment, and those who use it, whilst it is in their possession and accepts full responsibility for loss or damage to the equipment. The customer is solely responsible for ensuring that the cameras are filming throughout the course of the day. Highlight Videos cannot be held responsible for the lack of footage, poor quality of filming and/or the loss of memory cards from the wedding day.
 

INDEMNITY:  The customer agrees to indemnify Highlight Videos and its’ employees and agents from and against any and all losses, damages, claims, or liability of any kind whatsoever, including legal expenses, arising from the use, condition (including, without limitation, latent or other defects) or operation of the equipment, and by whosoever used or operated the equipment during the rental term. Highlight Videos is not responsible for accident or injury caused directly or indirectly by the use of the rented equipment.
 

OUR RESPONSIBILITY:  In the unlikely event that Highlight Videos cannot perform the services agreed upon; all fees paid by the customer will be refunded. Highlight Videos will take the utmost care with respect to delivery, editing and delivery of final video footage.
 

USAGE:  Highlight Videos reserves the right to use any footage for promotional or any other purposes or public display. The video is produced for the customer’s personal, private use. The customer assumes all liability for any form of copyright infringement and is responsible for any personal releases.
 

DENIAL OF SERVICE: We reserve the right to refuse rental service to anyone at anytime where we deem it is in our best interest on the basis of credit, past history, lack of safety precaution, or likelihood of abuse. We may also refuse rental service at anytime and our obligation under any contract executed will be void should we discover that the intended use of the equipment presents a serious safety hazard and/or violates any constitutional or by law.
 

FORCE MAJEURE:  In the event that circumstances arise that are beyond our control our liability is limited. Circumstances beyond our control include, but are not limited to: acts of nature, electrical power failures, strikes, labour disputes, riots, insurrections, civil disturbances, fires, flood, storms, explosions, war, governmental actions, non performance of third parties, or loss or fluctuations of electrical power Highlight Videos shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations if such a failure or delay is due to Force Majeure.
